Ten Great Smoothies

Fran writes: "I got the idea for these recipes from a Martha Stewart show. There's something here for every taste. Alcohol may be substituted for some of the milk in any of the smoothies."
Pina Colada Smoothie - Serves 2- 2 bananas
- 1-1/2 cups pineapple(fresh or canned)
- 1-1/2 cups milk
- 2 or 3 dates (optional)
- 1-2 tablespoons shredded coconut
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- Ice cubes
Pear Smoothie - Serves 1
- 2/3 cup canned pears, drained
- 2/3 cup milk

Summer Smoothie - Serves 1-2
Try this shake in the summer when peaches are in season.
Two Berry Smoothie - Serves 1-2
Nectarine Blueberry Smoothie - Serves 1 A smoothie kids will love.
Cantaloupe Banana Smoothie - Serves 1

Easy Tropical Fruit Smoothie - Serves 1-2
This shake is made with canned tropical fruit salad, a good solution when fresh fruits are unavailable.
